About the Artist:

Sita Sunil is an investigative artist and composer whose work spans from musicals, paintings, soundtracks, and everything in between. Some of the common themes in her work include nature, community, and harmony between sound and color. Her work often originates from pictures and noises that pop into her head and explore how to make sense of the things we experience around us. She is now working on projects including a folk tapestry painting series, a community jewelry project, new musicals and soundtrack compositions, and a project exploring making community art and music around natural and sustainable materials. Sita is based in New York City.
